As the industry leader, Fischione Instruments maintains an extensive portfolio of existing products, focuses on innovation, and continuously develops new products for emerging applications and markets. Such growth and innovation has created the need to add a Mechanical Designer to our team.

In this position, individuals will work closely with Project Engineers and use CAD tools to bring conceptual designs to realization. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Generate CAD drawings and manufacturing documents including:

  • Part Drawings

  • Assembly Drawings

  • Work Instructions

  • Bills of Material

• Update models and drawings per engineering change requests

• Submit engineering change requests to release new designs or implement changes

• Help identify design issues and offer suggestions to solve them

• Support the machine shop and manufacturing during production ramp-up

Our fast paced design and development environment requires team members with the skills to work efficiently and accurately to achieve a high-quality design. Candidates that have the ability to communicate effectively with team members, and meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply for this challenging and rewarding position.

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience

• Experience with SolidWorks

• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

• Detail oriented

• Ability to work independently and with others

• Experience with high vacuum systems a plus

• Experience with precision electro-mechanical devices a plus

• Experience with sheet metal design a plus
