Description
Fischione Instruments is seeking a Manual Machinist for our world-class manufacturing facility located in Export, PA. Our Manual Machinist is responsible for the skilled machining of small, intricate, close-tolerance, advanced precision parts and components. Machining will be low volume quantities using manual machines including mills and lathes. Manual Machinist will ensure low volume production runs are done in a safe and efficient manner producing high-quality parts.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manually machine advanced precision parts from drawing to part
- Use variety of manual tools to prepare parts/components for final assembly production
- Evaluate and rework parts and components to meet tight tolerance specifications
- Use and maintain measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Use and maintain hand tools including the sharpening of drills and cutting tools
- Ability to conduct periodic maintenance, troubleshoot and limited repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess solid understanding of machining principles and techniques
- 3+ years operating manual mills and manual lathes
- Must have mathematical skills including trigonometry, geometry and simple math
- Must possess strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to high quality standards
- Experience producing small, tight-tolerance components in a prototype or small production environment
- CNC Machining experience is highly desirable
